Arsenal 3-1 Everton
Arsenal came from behind to win.
Leon Osman had put Everton ahead in the 9th minute.
Samir Nasri equalised with a low shot from 20 yards just after half time.
On 70 minutes Robin Van Persie headed Arsenal in front after Tim Howard had parried Cesc Fabregas' shot.
Arsenal then began to dominate, substitute Theo Walcott played a one-two with Abou Diaby before slotting in the third through Howard's legs.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger:
"I am very proud of the way we came back with pride and we got a deserved victory.
"In the last 20 minutes of the first half we were on top of them.
"We had to reshuffle the team because we have a compact squad but everyone can play.
"It was vital that we won for us to stay in the championship race."
Everton boss David Moyes:
"We had opportunities to get two goals up but they did not go in for us.
"Arsenal showed after the break how good they were. The instructions were to keep it tight early on in the second half but they got a huge lift when they scored.
"I thought we played better and thought that the boys went about the game in the right way.
"There are some positives I can take from this game and I cannot always say that. There are signs that we are playing a bit better and I am hopeful results will come."
