Bolton Wanderers have completed the signing of Danny Shittu from Watford for an undisclosed fee.
The Nigeria international was thought to be moving to Glasgow Rangers but personal terms could not be agreed.
The defender has however agreed a three-year contract with Bolton and joins for a fee in the region of £2million.
Shittu becomes Gary Megson's fourth signing of the summer, following on from Johan Elmander, Mustapha Riga and Fabrice Muamba.
He due to travel to Greece to meet up with his new team-mates and will add competition to Megson's defence, with doubts surrounding the future of Abdoulaye Meite.
Shittu made 75 appearances for Watford since moving to Vicarage Road two years ago from Queens Park Rangers.
