Former Atomic Kitten star Kerry Katona appeared yesterday on ITV1's This Morning. Her appearance caused viewers to call in with concerns about her health.
The show's producers are coming under increasing criticism for allowing Ms Katona to appear, as she clearly seems to be in an unfit state to be interviewed live on televission.
The singer's slurred words prompted host Phillip Schofield to say: "You don't seem right to me... Your speech is a bit slurred, how are you feeling?"
Katona seemed surprised by the question, but blamed prescription drugs she had taken to help her sleep. Saying she was fine last night.
Publicist Max Clifford said he was "increasingly concerned" for Katona.
"There's no way she should have been allowed to do that show," the singer's publicist told Radio 1 Newsbeat.
"Had I been with her, she wouldn't have done," he added.
"I must admit after today and in view of what's gone on over the last couple of months, I am increasingly concerned for her health and happiness."
"Mark, her husband, says she hadn't been drinking, it was purely down to her medication," he added.
"Kerry's asleep but apparently was very upset after the interview, and from everything I've heard I can understand why.
"Had we been there we wouldn't have allowed the interview to happen, whether it was the medication or not, it looks and sounds bad."
He said lots of people had called his office asking whether Kerry was okay in response to seeing the interview.
