Liverpool face Standard Liege while Arsenal will play FC Twente in the Champions League third qualifying round.
The two English clubs will be pleased to have avoided Spain's Atletico Madrid, the strongest of the unseeded teams, as they were paired with German outfit Schalke.
The first matches of the round take place on the 12th and 13th August, with the second leg taking place on the 26th and 27th August.
FC Twente are now managed by the wonderful Steve McLaren, who failed to get England to Euro 2008. :-(
