“Dylan Duo & Dyson Parody head to head early on”
A rather tense atmosphere for this 1st ranking of the season, however there is less pressure to earn points early on as there has been an increase in competitions from which players can attain points throughout the season.
Both Justin Stagno & Eric Segui upset the semi-finals by both defeating Henry Zapata & Francis Taylor respectively.
Well done to both for playing well all evening.
Left to right
Dylan Duo (winner), Eric Segui (semi-finalist), Justin Stagno (semi-finalist), Dyson Parody (finalist)
Despite the difference in score-line the final was pretty darn good with an average of
1 to 2 treble 20’s per throw.
Dylan did the honours by taking both the 1st & 2nd legs
and Dyson got one back by finishing on the bull and furthered that on the next leg
with a 116 finish.
2 a piece Dylan secured the next leg with a 19 darter leaving Dyson
rather behind.
He then furthered that with a bull finish on the next leg to go 4-2 up
and it started to appear he was going to run away with it. Dylan furthered his lead
and made it 5-2. In the last leg the scores were 100, 125, 100, 91, 2 darts game shot
for Dylan and Dyson scored 85,100, 140, 45, 91 (40 required). As averages go that
leg was 35.78 per dart (which per throw is 107).
If you have been following darts on
Sky Sports or ITV4 you can do the maths on the calibre of our players in Gibraltar.
Commiserations to Dyson Parody, Congratulations to Dylan Duo!
