A fatal accident yesterday evening on Queensway Quay is being investigated by the Royal Gibraltar Police.
A local male in his mid twenties was arrested last night on suspicion of Causing Death by Dangerous Driving after his 16 year old pillion passenger died.
The details of the accident are still undergoing investigation by the Royal Gibraltar Police.
The incident took place just before 20:00 southbound on Queensway Road by the Queensway Quay Marina car park traffic lights.
The driver of the bike has been released on police bail to appear at New Mole Police Station on 21st July.
The family of the victim have been informed.
He has been named as Nacho Rodrigues.

The GHA’s Pathology Department has now received all the results of the 3,500 blood tests collected in Gibraltar. Laboratories in Germany, Spain, Switzerland, the UK and the US have been engaged in analysing the tests within the time window identified by Julian’s Medical Team at Great Ormond Street.
