Bernard Mendy has signed for Hull City.
The former Paris St Germain defender becomes the club's third signing of the summer.
Mendy arrives on a free transfer and has signed a three-year deal with the newly-promoted Tigers.
Mendy made 23 appearances for Bolton in 2003 where he was coached by Hull manager Phil Brown.
The 26-year-old has three caps for France.
He scored the winning goal for PSG in last season's French Cup final.
"I'm happy to go back to England. And above all I'll be meeting up again with Phil Brown, who was the assistant coach at Bolton when PSG loaned me out there. That counted a lot."
He added: "The club are searching for other French footballers and have signed Giovanni from Manchester City."
