Fernando Alonso continues to spit the dummy about the running of the McLaren team.
Ron Dennis has dismissed again renewed suggestions from Fernando Alonso that his team shows favouritism towards Lewis Hamilton.
Alonso, who lost the plot last season because he wasn't given special treatment by McLaren, has reignited his war of words with his former employer over the Hungarian Grand Prix weekend.
Alonso suggested that if he hadn't left McLaren he would be playing second fiddle to Hamilton because McLaren are set up to give Hamilton special treatment.
Dennis responded to Alonso’s comments, saying Kovalainen would happily attest that he is given the same opportunity to win as Hamilton.
"His [Alonso’s] opinion is his opinion," Dennis said in a press briefing on Sunday morning. "I am not going to voice my opinion about anything that Fernando has done or said."
"What I would say is you can’t see any strings leading to Heikki’s shoulders or you can’t see anyone’s hands up his back."
"He’s an honest guy and I think he will more than convince anyone who talks to him that this is a team that is absolutely committed to equality."
"It always has been and it always will be."
He wants to get real.
He’s just not as good as Hamilton.
Hamilton’s got balls, Alonso’s a big girl’s blouse.
