Amy Winehouse can't seem to keep out of the news. She's recently received a formal police caution for assault. Press reports alleged that she'd scuffled with two men over a pool game in a Camden bar. She's also been interviewed about her 'pipe smoking' caught on video and sold to the tabloids. Why the police need to interview her over this is a little hard to understand. What possible charges could this lead to if she wisely says 'No comment'?
Good news that this time the headlines are for the right reasons. Her album 'Back to Black' is Amazon's biggest selling album of all time. Amy Winehouse is an incredible talent, recognised by a huge number of awards and her domination of album charts for the last year.

We can only hope Amy gets it together and starts producing more music. Her producer Mark Ronson when pressed by a Sky News reporter looking for dirt on Amy said that she was no longer working on the new James Bond song with him.
Musical talent combined with a drug or alcohol problem (often both) used to be the industries norm. Hendrix, Joplin ... etc. Recently the music biz has seemed 'cleaner'. Glossy girl and boy bands with squeeky clean images ... boring boring boring.
Let's hope Amy keeps it together, what she does in private is her business. Her music certainly has an edge that's been missing for the last decade.
