VOCATIONAL TRAINING COURSES
The Government of Gibraltar invites applications from persons ordinarily resident in Gibraltar to
join a Vocational Training Course which may lead to the attainment of Qualified Craftsman
Status.
Trainees will follow a UK Awarding Body training syllabus leading to the achievement of a
Construction Diploma and/or National Vocational Qualification, in any one of the following
occupational trades:
- Carpentry & Joinery
- Painting & Decorating
- Plumbing
- Bricklaying
- Plastering
- Wall & Floor Tiling
- Multi – skill option ( Bricklaying, Plastering, Wall & Floor Tiling )
Applicants not in possession of GCSE passes in English Language and Mathematics at
Grades A to E, or equivalents acceptable to the Director of Employment & Vocational Training,
will be required to sit entry examinations in Numeracy and Literacy.

participate in the Government Vocational Training Schemes will be entitled to receive a
monthly trainee’s allowance commensurate with age.

Institute.
Completed applications must be returned to the Ministry of Employment & Vocational
Training 76/77 New Harbours by not later than noon on Friday 12th September 2008.
