UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown hinted at tax cuts in a speech given at the Lord Mayors banquet at the Guildhall in London yesterday evening.
Opposition leader David Cameron announced he would introduce a package of tax breaks for businesses taking on unemployed workers. The policy was quickly attacked by Labour as being unfunded.
