Reports are coming in that human remains have been found on Saddleworth Moor.
Ian Brady and Myra Hindley were responsible for a series of child murders in the 1960's.
Hindley and Brady were convicted of killing Lesley Ann and Edward Evans, 17, later confessing to the murders of Pauline Reade, 16, and Keith Bennett, 12. Brady was also convicted of John Kilbride's murder but Hindley was acquitted.
They refused for many years to say where the bodies had been buried.
In June 1964 Keith Bennett (12) disappeared. Hindley and Brady later admitted their guilt in his murder.
Myra Hindley died on 15/11/02.
Keith Bennett's mother Winnie Johnson has appealed to Ian Brady who is in Broadmoor to tell Police where the body is so she can bury her 'lad' while she still can.
The identitiy of the remains have not let been disclosed.
Update 16:00
The remains are now not thought to be those of Ian Bennett. Whether they are of another of Brady and Hindley's victims are unclear. It may be totally unrelated ...

30,000 police officers across all forces in England and Wales are to be trained to use 10,000 taser stun guns. At the moment, only specialist firearms officers can carry a taser gun. The Taser guns fire two barbed darts with wires attached. The gun then delivers a five second, 50,000 volt shock which can temporarily disable a suspect.

UK Telecoms firm BT is to shed 10,000 jobs worldwide by March 2009. 4,000 jobs have already been cut and a further 6,000 are planned. BT expects that no compulsory redundancies will be needed. The cuts will mainly affect agency and contract staff, including offshore workers.
