Andy MurrayAndy Murray was beaten in the 1st round of the Beijing Olympic Tennis singles.

He lost 6-7 (5/7) 4-6 in a shock first-round defeat by Chinese Taipei's Lu Yen-Hsun ranked 77th in the world.

Murray came into the event full of confidence after winning his first Masters Series victory in Cincinnati.

Perhaps he under estimated his opponent but Murray will be embarrassed by his failure to perform.

Murray broke twice in the first set to build up a 5-2 lead before double-faulting to lose it on a tie-break.

Murray's temper and mood were not exactly reflective of Olympic spirit as his tongue lashed out at ball boys, line judges and himself.

The number of unforced errors increased and Murray's concentration failed.

He deserved to lose and to lose in two set only underlines how poor his performance was.

He's got four years to work on his lousy attitude for London 2012.

If your wearing a GB shirt you need to wear it with pride.

Geir HaardeThe United Kingdom's relationship with Iceland has grown frosty in the last twenty four hours.
Iceland's banks are in serious trouble.
The Icelandic government has already had to take control of three of its leading banks.

A delegation of Treasury officials is currently in Iceland trying to get assurances that UK depositors will not lose money as a result of its banking crisis.

The meetings follow sharp exchanges between Gordon Brown and his Icelandic counterpart Geir Haarde (above) on the crisis.

UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown strongly condemned Iceland's failure to guarantee British savers' deposits.

Mr Brown said Iceland's actions were "effectively illegal" and "completely unacceptable".
