Olympic 2008 Gold MedalBritain has won four Olympic gold medals so far today.

It started with swimmer Rebecca Adlington adding to her previous gold with an emphatic win which took over two seconds of the World Record.

Bradley Wiggins beat Hayden Roulston of New Zealand in the final of the men's 4000m individual pursuit to take a second gold.

Britains coxless fours team won gold in the rowing.

Tom James, Andy Hodge, Pete Reed and Steve Williams - looked to be struggling at halfway and were about three quarters of a length down, but in the last 200m they really clicked and timed their attack to perfection, overhauling the Aussies with about 200m to go and holding on to the line. Slovenia took the bronze.

Chris Hoy and Ross Edgar finished first and second in  the cycling keirin final.
So gold and silver in one event!

30,000 police officers across all forces in England and Wales are to be trained to use 10,000 taser stun guns.

At the moment, only specialist firearms officers can carry a taser gun.

The Taser guns fire two barbed darts with wires attached. The gun then delivers a five second, 50,000 volt shock which can temporarily disable a suspect.

Interesting video.
Do you have an opinion?
Should taser guns be fired at pregnant women? Pensioners? Children?
