West Bromwich Albion have signed left back Marek Cech from FC Porto for a fee of £1.4million.
The 25-year-old Slovakian has signed a three-year contract with the Baggies.
Cech is a utility player and can also play left midfield.
The 6ft 1in defender has made 29 senior appearances for his country, scoring three goals
He came through the junior ranks at Inter Bratislava before joining Czech side Sparta Prague in 2004.
He moved to Porto in 2005 where he became part of the side to win the last three Portuguese league titles.
He's joined Tony Mowbray's side on their pre-season tour of Holland and Germany.
