
West Bromwich Albion have signed defender Abdoulaye Meite from Bolton Wanderers.
The Ivory Coast international has penned a three-year contract with the Baggies.
The transfer fee is £2million but it could rise to £2.5million with performance-related add-ons. West Brom also have the option to retain his services for a fourth year.
Meite becomes Albion manager Tony Mowbray's eighth signing of the summer following the arrivals of Gianni Zuiverloon, Marek Cech, Scott Carson, Roman Bednar, Luke Moore, Do-heon Kim and Graham Dorrans.
Meite joined Bolton fromMarseille two years ago. He was a regular starter for eighteen months until the arrival of Gary Cahill from Aston Villa.
Meite made 56 league appearances for Bolton he was a prolific non-goalscorer hitting the old onion sack zero times.
