Arsenal 1-0 West Bromich Albion

Arsenal and West Brom raised the curtain on this seasons English Premer League.

Arsenal debutant Samir Nasri netted on four minutes  to give the Gumnnersl a flying start to this season's Premier League campaign.

Arsenal dominated the first half against a determined West Bromwich Albion at the Emirates Stadium.

The second half was typical Arsenal. Lots of possesion neat accurate passing ... that goes nowhere.
To be honest West Brom didn't look like scoring. But then neither did Arsenal. Lots of training ground triangles, played all over the pitch, with no serious threat on goal. Arsenal need to learn to open a gap and kill off games. Any team can score, so a 1-0 lead is never enough.

To lose away ony 1-0 at the Emerates stadium is quite a positive result for the West Brom team.
They couldn't get the ball from Arsenal, but they closed down well and eventually broke down all the Arsenal attacks.

After taking the lead so easily Arsenal would have been expected to score a few more.
